Jesse Baker

Born: January 23, 1778, Charlestown, Washington Country, Rhode Island. Baptized: 1837.
Ordained a High Priest. Died November 1, 1846.
Parents:  Benjamin Baker and Hannah Tucker.
Married: Sarah Hawkes, sealed to spouse February 17, 1846-no children listed.

1837: In January, Jesse Baker was a charter member and shareholder in the Kirtland Safety Society.

1838: He was a member of the Kirtland Camp. He also wrote a Missouri Petition and subscribed to the Constitution for the establishment of the Kirtland Camp.

1841: In a revelation given to Joseph Smith January 19, Jesse Baker is designated by the Lord to be a member of the elders` quorum presidency (D&C 124:137), serving as counselor to John A. Hicks.
